An illustrator based in the Pacific Northwest who grew up on a steady diet of Saturday morning cartoons, sugary cereal, and heavy metal records. With over 35 years in the video game and comic book industries, he is best known as the Art Director and Character Designer behind the AIAS Award-winning Sly Cooper trilogy for Sony Entertainment, as well as an artist at DC Comics on Batman Adventures, Plastic Man and co-creator of the cult hit series Young Heroes in Love.
Recent video game development duties include Director of Art at Toys For Bob for Crash Team Rumble (PS5/Xbox/Switch/PC), Artist on Return to Monkey Island (Console/PC) with Ron Gilbert/Terrible Toybox, and Creative Director for the Plants vs. Zombies franchise, helping launch PvZ Garden Warfare (Console). As Studio Art Director at PopCap/EA Games, he oversaw and contributed to titles such as PvZ 2 (iOS/PC), Bejeweled Blitz, and Solitaire Blitz (FB/iOS/DS). Previous roles include Founder at Loose Cannon Studios and helped launch Humongous Entertainment with Ron Gilbert.
As an illustrator, Dev worked with Squaresoft on the iconic game box covers like Breath of Fire and Final Fantasy 3. His client list includes Disney, Funko, Sony, Cartoon Network, Warner Bros., Snap-On Tools, and Wizards of the Coast.
